Topnotch of yesteryears in five Indian language films - Kannada, Malayalama, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi, Geetha now Geetha Vasan staying in New Jersey the Sandy affected area in USA is in a pivotal role of a judge in 'Meenakshi' Kannada cinema. The length of the role is not important for me. It is the impact that creates more important disclosed in the beginning of her address at the media meet on Thursday afternoon.

Reaching top and getting married and carrying a successful married life with a son of teenage is making frequent visits to India for offers in south films. After marriage and child Geetha played in the films of Tamil super star Vijay, Prakash Raj, Nayanthara, Asini, Trisha and various others. The roles she was getting in other language was not available in Kannada that had seen some of the lovely films from Geetha.

Speaking to media after formal address Geetha has clarified that if travel expenses is a burden for Kannada film producers they are mistaken. I do not ask for New Jersey to Bangalore air ticket. I come on my own and I fix up a few assignments in every visit. Off late I have been traveling to India in alternate months says the pride of south Indian cinema Geetha.

Give me good roles and my remuneration plus traveling to Bangalore from where I am in India - Geetha answered the doubts of many producers. The last worthwhile film I have done in Kannada was 'Poorvapara' of Edakallu Chandrasekhar. A few films like Thirtha, Vishnu and others did not much notice for Geetha.

Among all I remember Dr Rajakumar very much. I have acted in many good films with Dr Rajakumar. Sweet memories are there in mind but we have to bow to destiny. I miss him very much explained Geetha. On the Kannada films not available in abroad she urged the present crops to do what Mohan Lal and Mammooty did years ago. The Kannada speaking people are spread out like other language people she opined.

Geetha admits that she became very independent in life ever since she started living in New Jersey. All work should take place independently.  It was not so in my life earlier. In the free time I do Tanjore paintings. That calls for lot of attention and it is my hobby she added.
