IndiaGlitz [Tuesday, December 11, 2012]

The power house of acting and brilliant student of National School of Drama, New Delhi - girl from Nashik Anjali Patil has come here to stay in multifaceted activities.

Getting accolades for her performance in Indo-Sri Lankan film at the recently concluded 43rd Goa International Film Festival for 'Oba Nathuva Obe Ekka' (with or without you) Anjali was recognized for her potentiality in Prakash Jha's 'Chakravyuh'. She is now in Kannada film of director E Chennagangappa a former bureaucrat 'Apna Desh' - a film on the culture, people revolution moment and Naxal activities mixed in it.

Completing one schedule of shoot at Kuduremukh surroundings Anjali Patil came before the media on Monday night to express her deep felt happiness for being a part of Kannada film 'Apna Desh'.

I play the bold and brilliant character of Vasundhara in the film. The shoot was started with a song portion and I was thrilled with the thick forest and splendid locations. I do connect myself to the role offered to me. The first tempting aspect for me is the presence of Dr Girish Karnad Jnanapith Award winner part of the cast. The first play I read in my life after joining 'NSD' in the direction wing was his 'Hayavadana'. I have bought all other plays and I am dreaming to play the role of 'Padmini' in Hayavadana sometime in life says talented actress Anjali Patil who became an actress by accident.

Vasundhara role in 'Apna Desh' is a fighter. In this honoring experience I found I am in the land of 'Beauty and Brain' she puts it. I am waiting to work with Dr Girish Karnad in the second schedule of this 'Apna Desh' says actress Anjali Patil who made a debut in 'Delhi in a Day' Hindi film in 2011.
