Karnataka chief minister Jagadish Shettar flag off the 5th Bengaluru International Film Festival on 20th of December in Bangalore that screen160 films from 50 countries in a weeklong festival of films.
For the valedictory and prize distribution the expected guests are mega star cum union minister Chiranjeevi and dancing sensation and director cum actor Prabhu Deva.
The inauguration is at 5.30 pm on 20th of December at Jnanajyothi Auditorium in Bangalore central college campus says Thara Anooradha chair person of Karnataka Chalanachitra academy.
The screening kick starts with Netherland language film 'Cow Boy' and end with screening of Brazil country 'The clown'. The centenary of Indian cinema will be inaugurated at Vartha Soudha by union petroleum minister M Veerappa Moily. The valedictory event will be presided over by HR Bharadwaj, Governor of Karnataka.
The pass holders of this 5th Bengaluru International Film Festival are also allotted free travel to Garuda Mall, Badami House, Vartha Soudha and others centers where screening has been arranged.
For the first time at Freedom Park on an LCD screening of some of the films have been arranged from December 21 to 27.
