The second week of February 2013 - 8th has three releases in Kannada and the examination fever picks up from next week. Come valentine Day a few more are ready to conquer silver screen. After that the releases will slow down because of ensuing school and college examinations.
Of the three films this week 'Charminar' is highly expected film. The other two 'Gombegala Love' and 'Manasina Putadali' are releasing with not much of knowing to the public.
'Charminar' Sri Siddeshwara Enterprises is making news in Andhra and Tamil Nadu even before release. Its remake is discussed for young and dashing Naga Chaitanya. The film 'Charminar' that focuses on the four important stages represented by 'Pillars' (not connected to 'Charminar' of Andhra Pradesh) has got the 'U' certificate from Regional censor board.
This is the debut maiden production of R Chandru for his story, screenplay and dialogues. R Chandru has successful films like Taj Mahal, Mylari, Ko Ko Koli Kothi to his credit. He is also director of 'Prem Kahani' Kannada cinema.
KS Chandrasekhar is cameraman and Hari from Andhra Pradesh makes debut as music director. Gurukiran has done the background music for the film. Lovely star Premkumar heads the star cast with beautiful Meghana Gaonkar as female lead. Kumudha, Rangayana Raghu, Sadhu Kokila, Bullet Prakash, Vidya Murthy, Honnavalli Krishna and others are in the cast.
Newcomer Santosh 'Gombegala Love' has left an impression that it is a novel attempt for Apple Films. 'Gombegala Love' that has a caption above the banner - Money is nothing, work is God is produced by four friends Santosh, Ajay Raj Urs, Arun and Rohit. Senior actress Shruthi, Achyuth Kumar, Ramakrishna, Pavana of 'Adwaitha and Jatta' is in her third film. Arun is making debut as hero.
Srinath Vijay has scored music. Kiran Hampapura is cameraman, ES Ishwar editing, Harikrishna choreography are part of the technical team.
Not in much news before release 'Manasina Putadali' is a subject of innocent turning tough because of the situations. Smt Sunanda Shamanna Shetty is the producer of this film with newcomer director Prashanth. The lady in the movie joins the revolutionary movement to show her discontentment. That is Raksha making debut with villain Karunakar in the film. Rajnarain Das music director of the film lent five songs for the film. Veteran actor Chetan Rama Rao is also in the prominent role.
