The title and poster released before the launch of the film 'Basavanna' has kicked up a row and director Srinivasa Raju is hell bent on not changing the title while producer CR Manohar has asked for deletion of gun with 'Basavanna' poster. 'Basavanna' is the 12th century social reformer and obviously the title made the community to go alert. There is nothing to belittle the social reformer informed Srinivasa Raju.

The film 'Basavanna' starring super star Upendra in Tanvi Films went on the floors at Basavana Gudi Dodda Ganesha Temple. Ragini is one of the two heroines.

Veteran actors Srinivasamurthy, Rangayana Raghu, Sadhu Kokila, Dr Girish Karnad, Bullet Prakash, Tabala Naani, Ravishanker and others are in supporting roles.

Producer CR Manohar from business of 'Rose' export made debut in Kannada as producer a few years ago. He is also producer of 100th film of Telugu actor Srikanth.

Srinivasa Raju sitting pretty with success of 'Dhandupalya' has written story, screenplay and directing the film. He has plans to shoot for the film in Sweden, Denmark, Rome countries. Five songs for this film are in the music direction of Mani Sharma. Ravi Verma is handling stunts and Venkat Prasad is cameraman.
