Era of another veteran Kunigal Nagabushan ends on Sunday early morning. Suffering from acute sugar complaint Kunigal Nagabushan aged 70 was known as one of the well known dialogue writer, director and comedy actor in a career of nearly five decades in Kannada cinema.
After one of his legs was removed he was keeping ill and health problems worried. The Kannada cinema industry came to the rescue of Kunigal Nagabhushan providing medical and final help. He was last seen at Sri Raghavendra Chitravani 32nd annual day function. Kunigal Nagabhushan received Kichcha Sudeep award on that 25th May 2013.
The era of Kunigal Nagabhushan was fabulous in 80 and 90's. He had written dialogues for almost all the superstars of Kannada cinema. He has penned for over 250 films and acted in hundreds of films in Kannada. He began his career as assistant director in 1961. He became director of two Kannada films 'Ashirwada and Balu Jenu'. He was the state award winner for Gowri Ganesha and 'Yarigu Helbedi' Kannada films as dialogue writer.
He returned to acting after 10 years in 'Agni Mushti' but health problem slowed down his urge to write dialogues. After working in 40 films as assistant director, he independently directed films such. Later he took up dialogue writing for films and stood as one of the pillars.
