This Kannada film 'Bhagyaraj' has nothing to do with the stalwart of Tamil cinema Bhagyaraj. Bhagya and Raj are protagonists in the film. Apparently this is the debut as hero of popular hero Yogish sibling Mahesh. It is launched by siblings father TP Siddaraju who got in to fame from 'Dhuniya' in 2007 a runaway hit Kannada film.
The films after Dhuniya for TP Siddaraju 'Yaksha' was a debacle, last year release 'Sidlingu' was quite OK in the box office. This is the fourth venture giving room for a debutant director Deepak Madhuvanahalli an engineering drop out.
Deepak with short stint in a few directors of Kannada cinema has prepared the script of his film with 2000 year backdrop. Around the Kidnap of Dr Rajakumar the film is set. There is love and thrill and going back to 13 years is a challenge and I have to minus the globalization says Deepak. He is keeping the accent of Kollegal surroundings for this film. The protagonist is working in CD shop. His aim is no piracy. The film also has a caption 'Nakalu Madabedi'. The heroine Jahnavi Kamath works as accountant in cable unit. The cycle of hero is very important. He holds a gun in his hand in the posters. Deepak is not interested in revealing full contents. There are two other characters - Priyanka and Nataraj. The film shoot will be held in the rural background.
On Friday morning power star Puneeth Rajakumar, super star Upendra, Dr Krishnamurthy and others graced the occasion and wished good luck for Yogish brother Mahesh protagonist of 'Bhagyaraj'.
My second son Yogish was made popular hero by people. My first son is making debut and I advice him seriousness in life. I hope to give another Sidlingu level of success if not 'Dhuniya' level says Siddaraju.
Observant Mahesh agreed to his father advice and is confident of doing good job. He plays the CD shop employee in the film. 'Nakalu Madabedi' is not only catchy line but very appropriate to the present condition.
State award winning music director Anoop Seelin is happy for various things. Deepak becoming director, producer Siddaraju inviting him again, seniors V Manohar and Jayanth Kaikini writing lyrics for his film make this talented music director very happy.
