'Kaligala' is 'Janmasthanam'

IndiaGlitz [Saturday, July 27, 2013]

Director Saiprakash has made last minute changes to his Kannada film 'Kaligala' and extended shooting by inviting Telugu actors for the film to suit the Tollywood. Last schedule of shoot included Saikumar, Charulatha, Ranganath and others at Kanteerava studio. The Kannada film 'Kaligala' is titled as 'Janmasthanam' in Telugu. He wanted to keep the previous film 'Garbada Gudi' as the title in Telugu but there is already one in Telugu of the similar title.

The portions what Ramesh Bhat and a few others have done are shot again with Telugu actors to suit the nativity of that film industry. The 97th film of director Saiprakash is once on a social issue. Crime should be punished is his theory. When all crime done in the society is scot free - we will be having a bad society he feels. The punishment given to any crime should not repeat such act in the society is the intention of director in this film.

On Thursday Saikumar and Charulatha participated in the scenes meant for them for 'Kaligala'. This is a comeback after 'Thabbali' for Charulatha who has acted in over 50 films. Charulatha of O Mallige, Jodi Hakki, Nagadevathe, Neelambari and others.

Sai Kumar plays 'Agni' a fire filled role. He is also in four get up for a song in this film 'Kaligala'. He is in cop role and arrives in giving punches wherever necessary. Sai Kumar is in third film with Charulatha and eight film with Saiprakash. My role has a message for the society in the film he says. It has good vibrations.
