The Karnataka government order that all the cinema halls in Mysore should screen only Kannada films and respect the state festival of 'Dasara' and 'Rajyotsava' has come for a strong objection from of the exhibitors of Mysore.

A section of exhibitors approached the city civil court and after hearing the arguments the court has ordered for cinema halls should be given supportive money in lieu of changing.

The order of the government of Karnataka to screen Kannada films in all the theatres was welcomed by majority but the business minded exhibitors put up a case.

Hearing the arguments on behalf of the government and on behalf of the exhibitors Justice AS Bopanna verdict said in case the imposition is compulsory the exhibitors would suffer financial losses. In such cases the government should give supportive money he mentioned.
