The grand finale of Centenary of Indian cinema celebration by South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce in association with Tamil Nadu government is taking place today. The President of India Pranab Mukerjee is the main attraction with Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, Kerala Chief Minister Ommen Chandy and Governor of Tamil Nadu Rosaiah on the dais.

The Karnataka chief minister S Siddaramaiah and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy are not likely to attend. The advertisement released in today regional language newspaper does not show the names of two chief ministers. From the beginning of the centenary celebration it was told all four southern state chief ministers would take part in the grand finale event.

From Karnataka it will be only Dr Ambarish, Minister of Housing and also President of Kannada cinema Artists Association taking part with big names like Smt Parvathamma Rajakumar, V Ravichandran, Shivarajakumar, Puneeth Rajakumar, Darshan, Upendra, Dwarakish, Dr Jayamala, SV Rajendra Singh Babu and a few others.

At the grand finale five top stars of south Indian language films plus Hindi cinema actors are seen on one dais at one particular time.

The President of India also honors topnotch personalities from four southern states who have contributed to the growth of cinema industry.

According to sources half an hour space is allocated for cultural extravaganza. The rendezvous for razzle-dazzle time is Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium, Chennai.
