Acclaimed director Kavitha Lankesh started her new film 'Thananam Thananam' on Thursday morning at Shirdi Saibaba Temple at Devanahalli. Rakshita and Ramya took part in the inaugural shot while the Jnanapeeth award winner Dr.Girish Karnad, Bharathi Vishnuvardhana also made it to the muhurut.

Speaking to media persons at Nandi village director Kavitha Lankesh explained that she is adding more popular elements to the film for the short story of 'Kalki'. Dr.Chandrasekhara Kambara's 'Sambashiva Prahasana', Koravanji and Kalitha Hudugi folk songs are a part of this love story film It is very easy to adapt a big novel on screen. A small story like 'Kalki' we have to work out on various elements to assure the returns for the producer said Kavitha. After shooting for four days in and around Nandi Hills the film moves to Chickmagalur. After coming from Chickmagalur we are erecting a huge set at Abbainaidu studio. I have no barrier like commercial or art film. I have come from serious films to love story films in my life said Kavitha addressing the media.

Producer N.M.Suresh informed that today is a very precious day and I am impressed with the theme of the director Kavitha Lankesh.
