Veteran Kannada film actor and director Kashinath's 20 years young son Alok (original name Abhi) is making debut in an action packed cinema. The film 'Baaji' starring Alok and Rani is produced by five producers Gangaram, Venkatesh, M.Suresh, Sanjeevanna and Ramanna in Sri Panchamukhi Creations. 'Baaji' is on the foul play in the cricket game that is betting. The rampant cricket betting has interested the debutant director Shidlaghatta Srinivas to suit the story. The underworld don from Mumbai comes to Bangalore with the ploy of betting but he falls in love with the charming heroine Rani. The small time betting specialist the hero Alok encounter the big don to save the heroine is the crux of the film says Srinivas addressing the media. With eight days of shooting left the major portion of shooting was held at Melkote, Abbainaidu Studio and Gopalaswamy Hills says director Srinivas. This is a lavishly made cinema for the masses. Alok has learnt a few tricks from his father Kashinath the famous actor, director of Kannada cinema and got trained in Abhinaya Tharanga for one year. The newcomer Rani making good name in ad world winning the Ms beautiful eyes in Miss Karnataka contest was looking for a right opportunity in cinema instead of taking up a career of Air Hostess. This is the perfect opportunity to show my talent says Rani who hails from Hassan district in Karnataka.
