The child prodigy Master Kishen director of ''Care of Footpath'' at the age of nine and half years is sitting very comfortable winning two awards - best child actor and special jury award for the film at the recently announced Karnataka state film awards for 2005-2006. He is hoping to complete script for his second film. He wants to play a double role ''Kirik/Prankster and soft child''.

Here is an exclusive chat with Master Kishen after the premier of ''Care of Footpath'' at GM Rejoyz digital theatre in Bangalore.

Congrats for two awards to Care of Footpath?

The award belongs to the entire team. My uncle - my parents gave me so much of encouragement in directing the film 'Care of Footpath'. I thank even my School teachers for allotting me special permission.

How many months of effort is the outcome of 'Care of Footpath'?

It is 14 months and 15 days to be precise. I have kept a count from the day of song recording to the first copy of the film.

The film has come out very well. Was it easy for you?

There was difficulty but I had that urge to make the film without taking guidance. Some new things added to the film gave a new color to the cinema.

What are the new things added to the film?

Firstly the script was changed to suit the inclusion of various artistes like Jackie Shroff, Ambarishji, Sudeepji and Saurab Shuklaji. The addition in fact helped in giving a new height to the film.

Now how do you allot your time for various works?

I come back from school in the afternoon and I finish my home work in just one hour and sit before the computer six hours a day do lot of graphic work.

You are already on the look out of your second film?

Yes. I am playing double role. One is a prankster and another is a soft child role. This will be made with lot of graphics and I am arriving at the subject slowly. It takes another year for me to take up my second film.

    Which one Kishen likes most?

I like the 'Kirik – prankster' role. There is some variety in it and adventure in it.

Have you lost anything in a year and a quarter months of tension?

Firstly there was no tension. I was definite right from the day one in directing the film 'Care of Footpath'. I had the courage and my parents gave me further boost to my courage. From the day one my father was calling me as director in the house. I have lost sleep and I think I have very well used my childhood.

How much you have cranked for the film?

I have restored 12000 feet from the 70000 footage captured in the camera.

You sat for the editing also….

I sat with the editor in final editing of the film. I came to know lot of things at this table.

What about the worldwide release of 'Care of Footpath'?

We have plans to release the film in five languages. Kannada version of 'Care of Footpath' is releasing on 20th of October. The Kannada version with English subtitles is releasing in Australia and America. The Telugu, Tamil and Hindi version rights holders have something else in their mind and it is sure to reach all the countries in the world. I have done the sub titling in English on my own.

What is the gift your parents have given after finishing the project and your film bagging two awards?

I do not expect anything. They have made my dream possible. What else I can ask. They need not have to give any gift for me.

What about the making of 'Care of Footpath'?

It will be telecast from Saturday 23rd September at 3.30 pm in Udaya TV. It is coming in 50 plus episodes. We have edited from nearly 500 hours of shoot of the making of 'Care of Footpath'.
