First deserve, then desire and later acquire seems to be the policy of actress Manya who is recognized in four languages � Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. On the eve of her birthday on 17 th October in Bangalore Manya says quietly ''''Some money you earn for yourself, the rest for others''''.

Young in age, good in heart and memorable in her works Manya spoke to this journalist at Green House restaurant in Bangalore.

Excerpts of a quick interview:

Your attitudes are philosophical��

There is nothing of that sort. My heart melts down when I see people in difficulty. That is my nature. After Tsunami first thing I decided in the early age of my film career was that I should adopt two children and give them good status in the society.

But that could not happen�.

That is because of the law of the land. When I made this announcement on the sets of my first Kannada film 'Varsha' starring Dr.Vishnuvardhana , Ramesh Aravind and others I was not taken seriously. But I approached the authorities to adopt the children. The then chief minister of Tamil Nadu Jayalalithaa madam did not agree for my proposal. I am not married and roaming in my film career. How would you take care of the children when you are not positioned in one place they said and I had to keep quiet.

But your mind is still hogging at it�..

Yes for this year birthday of mine on October 17 I have made two resolutions. To adopt a girl child after my marriage and to donate my eyes after death I have signed the papers at Samarthana organization in Bangalore.

Your parents agreed for your proposal of donating eyes�.

Firstly it is my wish. After death it has to be useful for others instead of going waste. Secondly I want others to follow. I am convincing my family members to sign for donation of eyes. There are people in the society who follow the artistes.

But still the boy with whom you are going to wed does not agree for your ethics in life�

I would marry a person who is also from a middle class. Mine will be a love marriage. I am confident that I can get such a nice person as my husband in life.

It seems you went to handicap school recently�..

I celebrated my birthday in advance this year with the orphan and handicap children.

Why are you celebrating your birthday so soon?

It is six days in advance. That is because I have to catch a flight to go to London for shooting. On 17th I will be at London.

What is your score card in films?

I have acted in six films in Kannada with top stars like Dr Vishnuvardhana, Ramesh Aravind, Audhitya, Darshan in just two years of my stay in Kannada. Including other languages I have acted in 13 films. In Telugu I am doing 'Enthavaralaina and in Kannada my film on floor is 'Yee Preethi Onthara'. I have one Tamil film on hand. I have started my career in 'Joker' opposite Mammootiji. I have bagged the state critic award.

What is your family background?

I hail from Andhra Pradesh. My father has business roots in Bangalore. I have my mother's relatives in Tamil Nadu.
