    The art form never initiates. It merely takes over what is already present in the real world and makes an aesthetic pattern out of it or tries to explain it or tries to relate it to some other aspect of life. Brilliant director the pride of Kannada cinema today Yogaraj Bhat seems to have understood this aspect to the fullest. That is the reason for massive win and applause he got for ''Mungaru Male'' his third directorial venture. Showing the realities in ''Mungaru Male'' that is recognized purely as a technician film reaped nearly 40 crores in 175 days still running to packed houses in 70 plus theatres all over Karnataka.

    As the bigwigs says ''the enjoyment of art is the only remaining ecstasy that is neither immoral nor illegal'' – Bhat''s fine touch in ''Mungaru Male'' has become an addiction, a big rage that no other Kannada film has gained such a height of popularity.

    An intellect with art as the highest purpose to inspire Yogaraj Bhat is a rare catch after ''Mungaru Male''.

    Here are the excerpts of an interview with Kannada filmdom''s highest paid technician.

    Art is a nature speeded up and God slowed down….what do you say?

    When God slowed down my career in the first two films 'Mani' and 'Ranga SSLC', I banked on the nature and a good team to give a cozy experience to audience in the cinema hall via 'Mungaru Male'. The nature did not disappoint me. 'Mungaru Male' is shot more than 60 percent with nature's help.

    You are the highest paid technician with mega hit 'Mungaru Male'. Do you agree?

    I agree to it and would like to add that I am clearing the loans I have made so far.

    How is the 'Mungaru Male' effect the biggest grosser of Kannada cinema industry?

    I was happy before 'Mungaru Male'. It is like plenty of room at the top, but not enough to sit down. I have got to come back better. If you come back worse or even the same result of a mega success the situation would be very disgusting. People yell at me.

    Anything went wrong after the success? Are you not happy of some happenings?

    Nothing went wrong. I don't blame the producer of 'Mungaru Male' Krishnappa. He has been the main support for me in getting this hype and hoopla. I am not even asking him the 55 percent I am ought to get from the sale of remake rights of 'Mungaru Male' for all languages. I am hopeful that one day he would make it. What I wanted is that something should have been done to the team after the success.

    How is the preparation for 'Gaali Pata'?

    I have worked for more than one year on the script. This is about the fickle mindedness of the age group of 16 to 30. In this age youngsters have money, brain, aim for maximum enjoyment and a right age for wonders in life. In case of failure they become very tough. They find emotional malfunction. They earn more and lose more. I have handled such elements in keeping the youth in right order.

    Have you seen any real life person?

    I have a friend in Hubli. He is the source of inspiration. I have added some more issues from my experience to it.

    Who is doing that role?

    Comedy Time Ganesh is leading the team. Rajesh Krishna the established playback singer and Diganth are in the main roles. Daisy Boppanna and Neethu have been selected as heroines. I am looking a beautiful girl in the age group of 18 and 19. Ananthnag is doing the hunter role and he represents some of the finer elements in this film. Rangayana Raghu is playing father to Ganesh.

    What's very special in this film 'Gaalipata'?

    I need a wild forest pig for this film. I know that I am not supposed to use it because Animal Welfare Board would object to it. I am using the technique of digital intermediate. This technology I am using after proto type movements and sending it to Germany for correction. Krupakar and Senani are helping me in this regard.

    What exactly is the content of this film?

    I don't believe in telling story on screen. Today's youth do not want it. I have to tell my script keeping in mind the present genre. What I was doing at the age of 16 is not interesting to present crop. This genre hates stories.

    How is the music part in this film?

    The lyrics should be unconventional and music should be unpredictable is my style of thinking.

    Any haunting theme you have in mind?

    I am thinking about one tragic point. That is commercially viable too.

    How you are prepared for the fear of failure?

    I have been already scolded by two earlier producers of Mani and Ranga SSLC. I am ready for any onslaught.

    How many called from outside Karnataka after 'Mungaru Male' success?

    I received offers from Ashwini Dutt, Shravanthi Movies and SPR productions. I am working for SPR productions producers SP Rao and Rathnam. As a matter of fact 'Gaalipata' should have been my second film. When I narrated the script it was not approved by Kannada producers.
