Why you kept silent after 'Joke Falls' in 2004? I was hunting for something special and innovative. From the beginning I was looking for unusual films. Now I am ready with script for a silent film with just one line dialogue 'I Love You'. That also happens to be the title. After doing 'Joke Falls' in 2004 I gave a serious thought to this film and written the script at least 10 times.  What is this 'I love you' all about? It is a supernatural scary comedy. There are only five characters. I am doing this film keeping the Indian national market in mind. The budget would be Rs.8 crores as of now. I am roping in one Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada actors each in this film. Three are three male and two female artistes required for this film. There will be enough comedy that happens in the travel. The comedy is more of physical in nature. Like the one in 'Charlie Chaplin' films. This film will be on a different path. Only the climax 'I Love You' is expressed. When you are starting the shooting of this film? In another two months time the shooting starts at Karwar surroundings in Karnataka. I require 45 days to shoot the film. It is just 91 minutes film. I have consulted the latest rage music director Mano Murthy to score background music. Background score is very important for this film. This film is attempted at mass audience of this universe. There is no language barrier to this film. Do you have anybody in mind to suit your script? I have in mind Akshay kumar, Vivek Oberoi, Irfan Khan and Ramesh Aravind. Your brother B.C.Patil a popular actor cum MLA is in the cast? I have not thought of any role to my very busy brother B.C.Patil. We are jointly producing this film. What is the care you have taken for this kind of silent movie? Since there is no dialogue I have prepared the script in such a way that every two minute incidents will be very strong visually. The audience should feel that the dialogues are not necessary for this film. See what happened in 'Pushpaka Vimana'. There are scary moments, love, romance, emotion and comedy. Giving expressions here is very important. Have you told this script to anyone to get opinions? Yes. I have told this script to my wife and friends in United States of America. My wife has also suggested a few things. When you are planning to release 'I Love You'? It will be next year July or August. There is lot of technical work for this film. What is your elder brother up to? From our banner we are doing three films. One is 'I Love You' second one is based on the life story of my elder brother B.C.Patil. He was a cop became an actor, producer, director and now the sitting legislator from Hirekerur constituency. The third one is a film we are producing with newcomers in the film. |
