 What is the present stage of 'Accident'?
The 70 percent of the shooting is over in 27 days. I have a little talkie portion and songs shooting I am planning after my holiday.
What do you want to say in a nutshell about 'Accident'? The movie is not just about an accident. The repercussion of a fatal incident in the tumultuous journey taken up by the protagonist, his search of truth, the haze surrounding, days gone by, act of love, betrayal and finally redemption plus the honor of a lost soul forms the key issues in this film. We have tried new technical skills for this film. You have roped in lot of new actors for this film it seems? Yes. The dialogue writer Rajendra Karanth is definitely going to occupy a good villain spot in Kannada film industry. Like wise Pathy Aiyar, Mahesh Kumar Longa (a radiologist from London), Balaji are the new guys definitely going to strike. I am looking for change. The change in the given format holding the interest of the audience is very important. We have a new music director Ricky Kej, eminent cinematographer G.S.Bhasker. How was the encouragement from the new producers? The Vishista Productions headed by G.Raghunath software professional is a very nice person to associate. His dream in life is to produce a film. I came in touch through e-mail. You are going for a long holiday? I am attending Kannada Rajyotsava for one day in Dubai and stay there with my family for a week. Back home I will be finalizing placement of the five songs for the film 'Accident'.  Television serial 'Detective Drona' has also started it seems? I have just started the 'Detective Drona' for Kasturi channel starring Ananthnag in the lead. Hari is directing the episodes. Ananthnag plays a detective. I am amazed with his involvement. He rang up to me to know how I am planning to do a particular scene where he has to limp. Look at his interest after 30 years of stint in films. That is the reason why legends stay so long in this profession. After 100 films taking up direction the going is slow in acting of your career? After one direction I am doing three films because I have to meet my expenses. You have some more projects on hand? I am ready with three scripts that can go on the floor any time. I am not in haste. I have some more thoughts that requires a few months of home work. Direction and Acting add more to your bank balance?
Acting is always feasible and easy. Direction requires a lot more effort. The first requirement is to keep everyone in good mood and make them work giving impetus. Direction is not very remunerative.  When you are planning for the dubbing of 'Accident' to Tamil and Telugu? In December end 'Accident' first print will be ready and hopefully it will be Pongal release. We have plans to release the film in US, UK, Singapore, Australia and Dubai. How is Arjun your son doing these days? He surprised me with a prize in the school competition. He is showing lot of enthusiasm in lot of things. |
