'Role important for me' – Dhyaan

    Saturday, February 23, 2008
The perfect guy to perform in soft and sensible roles Dhyan (Sameer) completed his 6th film in Kannada and gathering much attention. He intends to take more up performance oriented roles dub for his roles in the forthcoming films.

How is the progress in the career?

I am in to some good projects in Kannada. I am attaching importance to the subject and quality of making. I take it as my own film and involve in the film.

While selection of roles what care you take?

I do adjust the dates requesting the producers I am currently working when I get good scripts. Even in remuneration I do some concession. Now I have the Kannada film 'Sihi Muthu' to be taken up ace cameraman Ashok Kashyap.

What is your role in 'Neene Neene' directed by Shivadwaj?

It is about how I face love and family. The gist which Mr Shivadwaj narrated I have immensely liked to work. This is a common man dream. I feel it as if it is my own story. The audience also would react to it like that. There is genuineness in the workmanship of the director. It is a nice and committed team to work with. For newcomer Aishwarya Nag there is acting in the blood.

Who is you first selection for your pair?

I would go well with Jennifer Kotwal. She is nice and bubbly. We have studied together in HR College Mumbai. For the first time we are acting together in 'O Manase' Kannada film. For traditional and yet modern roles Ramya is very fine.

What is your reaction to Raj Thackery statements since you hail from Mumbai?

The statement of Raj Thackery was most uncalled for. India is a progressing in good direction. We should not have a situation to produce passports to travel between the states. I have strong objection to it and I have already made it clear in a television interview in Mumbai.

We are seeing the same Dhyaan right from 'Nanna Preethiya Hudugi' with no change in physique?

I follow the instruction of my father in keeping myself fit. 'Breakfast like King, lunch like Farmer and dinner like Pauper is my approach that is keeping me physically very fit.

Is it possible to adjust to Bangalore atmosphere?

Bangalore is not only beautiful but also very good place to stay. I live in Gold Finch hotel and my only problem is my favorite Masala Dosai is not served in the dinner. I like the spicy Masala Dosai at Janardhana hotel.

Have you picked up Kannada slowly?

Friends are advising me that I should dub my voice for my films. I have a teacher in Mumbai to teach me Kannada fast but I am not available most of the time. I am speaking in broken Kannada and I am even getting the support of media in this direction.

How did you celebrate this year's 'Valentine Day'?

I shot for the film 'O Manase' the entire day.

How do you manage the girl friends….

I agree that I have girl friends. I don't bring in them in the professional work. I have lot of female fans right from 'Nanna Preethiya Hudugi'.

    Any notable fan you have?

There is one girl who found out my e-mail and sending lot of mails. She wants to marry me. After 'Amrutha Dhare' also I got lot of responses from the family audience. All they said was they wanted a caring husband like me after seeing 'Amrutha Dhaare'.

Finally what is the remuneration you charge….

That is a secret and quite good for me. I have taken a house with some more money given by my father on the beach side in Mumbai.
