How is the preparation for release of 'Accident'?
The preparation is excellent. Last Saturday we got censor and from the government side we got the 100 percent tax exemption that is given for original Kannada film. Prestigious Pal Enterprises is supporting our release. We are coming out with 32 prints. There will be 15 screens in Bangalore showing 'Accident'.
Are you running under any tension?
I am basically a businessman but not used to this kind of huge project. Ever since leaping in to this production the marvelous company of Ramesh Aravind has put me in pleasure. I am anxious about 'Accident' opinion from the people of Karnataka. As a matter of fact the gem of a person Ramesh Aravind, media support and my circle of friends have eased by tension.
What are the high points of 'Accident' according to you?
Ramesh Aravind direction and narration of script, music by Rickey Kej, cinematography by G.S.Bhaskerji and new thought in making are some of the high points. Initially we thought of a thriller but as the day passed the music was added to the film our perception has changed. It is a musical, romantic dose of crime, melodrama and finally with a neat justice to the whole proceedings on screen.
Was it easy for software professional team to market the film?
We generated good support via corporate culture. Air Tel, Wi Fi, Gopalan Mall, Zee Kannada, on the rocks, movie branding, Radio Mirchi have all come forward for help. I am also having a tie up with ETV, Asianet Suverna for marketing and promotion of the film. I am making use of the technology for progress of the film. But there is nothing like the publicity from mouth to mouth.
How many crores of rupees you have invested on 'Accident'?
It is as of now Rs.2.75 crores project. Ramesh Aravind who was a friend in the initial stages is now a part of our family member. I want to remain in the company of Ramesh Aravind for ever.
Whom do you want to remember for making the film 'Accident'?
Mainly for my circle of friends like Balaji, Gururaj Kulkarni, Mallikarjun, Rajiv, my brother Murali, brother in law Vishveswhara Shastry who is staying in Sydney, parents, wife who have motivated me and stood by me all the time in making this film.
You are taking up any special Pooja for the release of 'Accident'?
I believe in god and hard work. No special poojas are planned.
What do you want to do from the profit you earn from Vishista productions maiden venture 'Accident'?
It will be again pumped in to industry. I want to build up empire like Yash Chopra or Karan Johar in a big way with Bangalore as the base. In full fledge corporate style we want to make film business in future.
Do you feel a new trend has been set up making and releasing this film 'Accident'?
I am feeling so. The making, approach, production system, marketing, thinking and presentation areas I feel it is a new way.
