Dhamarukam Preview

It has been long since a superstar acted in a socio-fantasy flick.  Damarukam sees Nagarjuna and Anushka in two equally important roles, where as Prakash Raj seems to be doing one of the challenging roles of his career.  Set to release on Oct 11, this film is directed by Srinivas Reddy.

As RR Movie Makers' Dr. Venkat proudly says, this is the costliest film in Nag's career.  Also, the never-before-seen story and other props (read the high quality computer graphics) are the film's big selling points.  Though it was supposed to hit the screens in May, the post-production works had to be stretched to ensure that nothing went wrong.

The director and his team are tight-lipped about the story's alleged similarity with that of 'The Immortals of Meluha' (a novel).  How far it is true or false will be known only after it hits the screens.  Oblivious to all this, Nag's fans have very high expectations from it.  After all, both Rajanna and Shirdi Sai, critically acclaimed but not BO leaders, have seemingly disappointed them.

Nag's role, together with his chemistry with Anushka, may be watched out for.  There is a bunch of comedians, including Brahmanandam, besides.  Devi Sri Prasad's music and BG score may turn out to be the important mainstay.
