Director Vijayalakshmi Singh in her second film (the first one was ‘E Bandhana’) has shown high degree of dexterity and proved that she is the right sister of nationally acclaimed director S.V.Rajendra Singh Babu. The meticulous approach, giving prominence to every detail, concentrating on the completeness of a good quality film this veteran actress Vijayalakshmi Singh deserves all round applause.
With a live wire like Parvathi in the lead the director has let her free that results in some exigency in acting department from the actress. The expressions are extreme and no doubt in many places Parvathi excel and get 100 percent marks for learning the Kannada language and dubbing it. What the Kannada audience had seen commitment from great actress Suhasini the similar zeal and zoom is seen in Parvathi who is known to Kannada audience from blockbuster ‘Milana’.
The film title ‘Male Barali Manjoo Irali’ that is so good to hear is good to see on screen too for high quality work in the camera, music, acting and selection of locales, editing and costumes. The top class acting has come from three prominent personalities – Parvathi, Jai Jagdeesh and Srinagara Kitty.
Releasing on the Varamahalakshmi day festival this one by director Vijayalakshmi Singh is surely going to be a good treat for the family audience and those aspire of high quality presentation on the screen.
The fascination and affection that later turns love for Sneha (Parvathi) towards Vishwas (Srinagara Kitty) is not the one happens overnight. She has observed Vishwas from the childhood and when she comes to stay with her father after 14 years she finds the Good Samaritan in Vishwas. By this time Vishwas younger brother Prem (Nagkiran) ad maker is immensely in love with Sneha and selected her for his life and a big advertisement.
When Sneha and Prem are in the home town where Vishwas is a great personality already who is silent and composed and an introvert also falls in love with Sneha. Now Sneha is in love with Vishwas but waiting to express, Prem is in love with Sneha waiting to express and Vishwas is also in love with Sneha but struggling to say this because of his nature.
Younger sibling Prem knowing that his brother Vishwas is in love abstain from saying his mind to Sneha because his brother was ditched by Nayana (Haripriya) and he took a long time to get a smile on his face. The smile and happiness in Vishwas is only because of Sneha’s arrival. Director brings in some twist at this stage by bringing the character of Nayana that becomes an additional burden for Vishwas. Nayana back to terms of Vishwas is almost set to marry but it is Vishwas who tells her things are different now. Knowing the rejoining of Nayana and Vishwas it is time for Sneha to pack her luggage.
Whether Nayana or Sneha who become life partner to Vishwas? What happened to Prem? All these questions get answer to you when you get in side the theatres where ‘Male Barali Manjoo Irali’ is showing. It is a cool and feel good factor cinema.
The talkative Srinagara Kitty in the just 100 days completed ‘Savaari’ is opposite in his role in this film. His silence, looks, ability to express from eyes, grand style ears him good applause. Although excessive in expressions Parvathi is superb in her role. The young boys would definitely fall in love with this pretty Parvathi. She is good in her looks. Nagkiran would be definitely having female fans following him. In the song ondsala Ondondsala….Nagkiran is very good. Jai Jagdish as Sneha’s father has given a splendid performance. Umasri, Hema Chaudhary, Mukyamantri Chandru rendered admirable support. The comedy track of Sadhu Kokila and Sharan is not a big one. Meghasri looks very impressive.
Eno Agidhe….Gelathi Neennu….are the other two songs are excellent. Ajay Vincent is supreme in his work. The overview of Madikeri and other locations is a great treat to the eyes.
‘Male Barali Manjoo Irali’ is worth a ‘dekko’!
Scoring 8/10
