We have found the lost director again! Lost in family sentiment and love story films director S Narayan is back with a big bang. 'Chatrigalu Sar Chatrigalu' for the story of Ramesh Aravind a superb screenplay is arrived at and equally good dialogues are written for the film that give a hilarious treat.
We have seen the series of 'Saar' in Kannada - previous three were directed by SV Rajendra Singh Babu (Kurigalu, Kothigalu and Kaththegalu saar Kaththegalu) but this one by S Narayan is very interesting because of comedy errors flow giving thorough enjoyment.
No doubt this film 'Chatrigalu Saar Chatrigalu' is a paisa Vasool cinema. For the performance, screenplay, dialogues, music and cinematography this film deserves audience attention to the theatres. In the summer heat you can beat a few hours with laughter!
Naani, Rammi and Moni (Narayan, Ramesh Aravind and Mohan) are hit by bad luck. Moni is from a very rich family and he is controlled by his relative Rajamundry Rajalakshmi (Umasri) in the spending. He is in love with Manasi. Moni borrows loan to love Manasi who in turn ditch him by saying she is from an aristocratic family. In fact Manasi is the one who prepares 'Bonda' in a small hotel.
We have Rammi (Ramesh Aravind) - he is in love with a model and actress Anjali (Sushma Raj). For him the challenge is posed by Anjali, his fiancé to earn first and love next.
The third one is Naani (Narayan) who falls in love with a middle class Lakshmi (Sanathani) but it is not that easy for him to make her life partner.
In the rich family of Moni there is a diamond worth Rs.5 crores and huge money and jewels are in safety locker. That is in the control of Rajamundru Rajalakshmi a middle age wife to the old man in the house (played by Shivaramanna). To secure the 'Diamond' - it is the operation of the trio that makes them to fall to their own racket!
Naani comes to the house of Moni with Rammi to get the print of the 'Key' so that they can duplicate it and snatch the 'Diamond'. The idea flops when the imprint on a soap is unknowingly used for washing by Moni.
For the same house once again Naani comes as Swamiji and Rammi as Michael (Michael is the one who has run away from the house). Things are dangerous once again. For the dangerous ideas they have stitched further damage is done when Moni fiancé comes pretending as pregnant, Michael finds tough when Kavya (Pavithra Gowda) the daughter in law of the house (Michael husband) surface.
Knowing this the actual lover of Michael alias Rammi - Anjali also comes to this house pretending that she is the lover of Rajamundry Rajalakshmi brother (played by Sadhu Kokila).
Now almost all the characters of the film are in one house. The final stage is snatching the 'Diamond'. It is nonstop fun that moves in rapid fast on the screen that you have to enjoy it in the theatres.
Ramesh Aravind, S Narayan and Mohan have continued the laugh riot like in previous two series (Kurigalu and Kothigalu Saar Kothigalu) they delivered with ease. How the trio managed is very interesting to watch.
Umasri as Rajamundri Rajalakshmi has given a spirited performance, as henpecked husband Shivaramanna given right requirement, Sadhu Kokila as Appa Rao, Rangayana Raghu as sub inspector performed with ease.
The three heroines - Sushma Raj, Manasi and Sanathini is convincing. Like a wild wind comes Pavithra Gowda is in a short role.
Arjun Janya has given two songs - Kobri Mitayi....and Dove Dove....that are passable. Jagadish Wali has been consistent in his work so far continues his journey with S Narayan team.
Comedy film is a big challenge that S Narayan and team have made it with ease.
Score - 7/10
