 When a group of NRI's take up a Kannada film it is anxiously looked at. That's because the status they have earned living abroad and professional background they possess. When you keep all this in mind and go to watch this 'Thamashegaagi' produced by five women producers you are sure to get disappointed. How come all the five women producers do not have the taste of a good cinema!
The tidy approach, touching story line, very good screenplay and technical excellence is the demand of the day. With an obsolete theme they have made a futile attempt. The thoughtful approach, the demand of the audience today, the novelty in the script should have been given extra care by Kodlu Ramakrishna.
Where is the fun? When two careless persons are flirting with other girls do you expect the audience to laugh? When two other youths gobble Rs.22 lakhs money cheating innocent people is it possible to laugh?
 Ramya (Sudharani) and Venkata Sailakshmi (Vaibhavi) spouses flirt a lot. Ani (Anirudh) and Shivu (Komal) come to the help of Ramya and Venkata Sailakshmi. The spoilt husbands learn the lessons in the mock court hall. But before this Ani and Shivu have the spoilt image of thieves. They have run away duping many people in their hometown. The police are looking for the duo. Ani and Shivu are in love with Rekha (Rekha) and Pammi (Archana) respectively. Obviously their lovers suspect because they are not aware of the temporary job of Anil and Shivu. Finally all confusion among the characters gets cleared in the mock court hall.
Vaibhavi is the charming new find of this film. She has the perfect build and looks tremendous in both traditional and modern outfits. In the role of 'Devi' you feel like folding your hands. Rekha and Sudharani the two experienced artistes have done their job very well. Anirudh dance in this film is a special attraction. Komal and Mohan the two witty actors give some lighter moments. Bank Janardhan is a big boredom.
Editing is the main villain of this film. There are so many disjointed scenes. R.P.Patnayak is not that hopeless in his second release of this week. Two tunes are peppy and foot tapping.
No compulsion to watch this film.
