Ninedhe Nenapu - Mayoor shines
IndiaGlitz  [Monday, September 03, 2007]

In this long drawn out love saga director Madan Patel has made fairly engaging film. The second half filled with anxious moments keeps the audience guessing. At the fall out of the last reel you would find the labor of love lost resulting in shattered memories for the protagonist. The bad memories haunt the hero.

Vijay is a brilliant student in the college. He is Good Samaritan. He helps everyone who comes to him with problems. One fine day the Principal of the college ask him to trace the lover of Shilpa (Maaya) who is in the college campus. This is the most difficult task for him because Shilpa is secretly in love with Vijay. Shilpa on the other hand efficiently foils the attempt of Vijay on different occasions. When Vijay narrate this tale to his father he is told that Shilpa's lover is none other than you he goes looking for her. Vijay is hit with a bad luck as he finds Shilpa is not in his college. He goes further to trace her in a far off place. There he finds the marriage fixed for Shilpa with another boy. He is in for further shock when he finds Shilpa dead in the marriage hall.

It is not sweet memories in life for Mayoor. Yet he has struggled hard and given a convincing performance. In dance, action and romance he is good. He has to improve in the area of emotions. Maaya the debutant from London looks very sweet on screen. She has got a good future ahead. Ananthnag appearing in the two releases of this week is very convincing.

The cinematography by Veenus Murthy is exceptional and the film is a visual treat. The scorings of Adhi (Mahesh Patel) is melodious in three songs. Ibbaniyali ….and Yaare Sakhi….are foot tapping.

Pleasant cinematography, songs and Mayoor acting are the redeeming features of this film.

Worth watching once!

Scoring 6/10
