This is a high voltage action drama that keeps the fans 'Kush' but not lovely from the point of view of class audience. What is expected from two top action heroes who are good in emotion and comedy is not served here in this film. Box office is the only target of the team of this film. Entertainment and age old theory in the wafer thin subject line is not enough with two powerful stars together.
No doubt the fans of Shivarajkumar and Upendra enjoy the film thoroughly. The first half is loaded with gimmicks that make the fans go into peels of laughter in side the cinema hall. The second half bounce back with usual stuff and bit protracted.
Chinnu and Chakri (Shivarajkumar and Upendra) are perfect deal masters. Earning money is their sole intention. Chinnu works for powerful don (played by Sayaji Shinde) whose daughter is Sara (Jennifer Kotwal). Chinnu saves Sara from difficult situation on a few occasions and as expected she is in love with Chinnu. On the other hand Chakri has a perfect match in Sinchana (Charmee). Both are living by duping people. In the entire film with lot of nefarious activities taking police force does not surface.
After entertaining tricks at the interval point Chakri insults Sara and settles his earlier score. He is not aware that Chinnu is in love with Sara. Chinnu is perturbed yet he is not ready to accept the insult done by his friend. The series of incidents in the post interval that rolls further distance the friends. The detractors of Chinnu and Chakri hatch a deadly plot to separate the friends permanently. When the two vital dons (Sara's father and Vishakanta played by Satyaprakash) join together some more action scenes emerge. Around this time both Chinnu and Chakri realize the reasons behind their separation. Chinnu working for his fiancé don and Chakri find to their astonishment that they are brothers. They even find their parents Sumithra and Girish Karnad in a temple. In the end the separated family is reunited.
Both Shivarajakumar and Upendra have done similar roles separately in the past. The equal division of scenes and dialogues is not that challenging for their charisma. Charmee in her first Kannada film is impressive. Her body language and peppy situations are bonus to the audience. Jennifer has nothing big to boast. Sayaji Shinde is a pain. Satyaprakash is in his usual role. In the comedy department Mandya Ramesh, Chidanand and Tennis Krishna evoke laughter.
Gurukiran has given fine tunes once again. The song Hottappa Hottu…sung by Puneeth Rajakumar, Apple Kode Kantha…and a song on friendship are worth hearing. R.Giri's cinematography is above average. The editing of songs is very fast and disturbs the eyes.
This is a complete entertainer for the fans!
