As expected and predicted by the trade pundits 'Nasraani' - the Ramzan release from Mammootty witnessed bumper initials in the first week end. It registered hundred percent in almost all the centres.

The film has come in as a solace to the fans of the star who were waiting for long for a film which has all the ingredients of a commercial hit.

Script writer Ranjith and director Joshy has managed to make a formula film that uses Mammootty's larger-than- life image in the role of a Kottayam Achayan , with proper mastery.

The film which was released in 50 centres en masse around one and a half crores from its three days run.
