The first month of 2008 will be busier than usual for film folks, with six big films planning to be on theatres. This includes superstar films and other movies that had been ready to hit the stations after Christmas. The first of the lot will be Jayaraj's 'Of the people' which is planning to be on release centers by the first week of January itself. The makers are planning to release it on the very first day of 2008.

Suresh Gopi's 'The Sound Of Boot' will join the releasing centers by the 11th of January. It is the first production of Pyramid Saimira in Malayalam. Then by the third and forth week of January, Mammootty's 'Raudram', Mohanlal's Thulasidas film 'College Kumaran' and East Cast Productions first film 'Novel' will also get released.

Dileep will release his much delayed 'Calcutta news' by the last week of January. Directed by Blessy, all eyes are on this film as this film has consumed around four months of Dileep in its production. Produced by Kaayal Films, Dileep badly need a hit with this film, as his recent films, didn't worked up to the expectations.
