Charlie gets an M. Phil

Comedians might sound and look like fools on screen. But the fact is that many of them are knowledgeable persons. 'Kalaivaanar' N.S. Krishnan, Chandrababu, and Nagesh were a few such comedians.

Among the contemporaries, Charlie is one such comedian, who is fond of reading a lot. The comedian, interested in academic area, has recently got an M. Phil from Azhagappa University. He has chosen the topic of 'The contribution of comedy actors to the growth of Tamil cinema between 1937 to 1967' for his M. Phil study.

The research paper, which runs for around 300 pages, has lot of rare details and analytical study on the subject. Charlie has plans to continue his research covering the years after 1967.

The scholarly comedian has become busier these days. He has acted in important roles in 'Vellithirai' and 'Ananda Thandavam'.
