M A Nishad, who is famous for taking contemporary social subjects for his movies, will start his new venture titled 'Aayudham' in a week. The movie which will feature Suresh Gopi as I G Rishikesh is planned to be shot at locales at Dubai, and Thiruvananthapuram.

The movie will also have Thilakan donning the role of comrade V K, a pivotal character in the movie. Lakshmi Rai will be heroine of the movie. Also in the cast are Murali, Biju Menon, Vijayakumar, Bala and Suraj Venjaaramoodu. 

S L Puram Jayasoma will script the movie in the storylines of the director. Alphonse, after a gap of few months, will set the tunes to the lyrics of Gireesh Puthencherry.

'Aayudham' will start its shoot by the last week of this month.
