After a recent row of flops as director and scriptwriter, Renjith is again trying his luck, this time with Prithviraj. The director who had created super hits like ‘Ravanaprabhu’ and ‘Nandhanam’ will again team up with Prithviraj, whom Renjith himself have presented on screen, eight years back. The movie titled 'Thirakkatha' will also be a production of capitol theatre headed by the director.

‘Thirakkatha' will also feature ‘Pranayakalam’ fame Ajmal Ameer in a pivotal role. The young actor has made it big in Kollywood with the recent film 'Anjathey', which is doing good business in Tamil Nadu.

Also in the cast of the movie are Jagathy, Siddhique and Nishanth Saagar. Planned to start its shoot by the first of May at the capital city, Thirakatha will be distributed by Varnachithra.

Meanwhile, director Renjith is facing the arc-lights for the first time, appearing in the lead in a movie titled 'Gulmohar'. Ranjith plays the role of a college lecturer named Induchoodan and pans different periods in the life from the time of state declared emergency to the present.

The film also has a debutante Minu Mathew as the heroine. Directed by Jayaraj, majority of the shoot of this movie has been completed at Kozhikode.
