Even though the Mollywood music industry is not showing any signs of resurrection in the case of album sales and money it generates, day after day new musicians are entering the fray to try their luck.
In the present year, at least a dozen music directors will debut through various films under production. Some of the youngsters who will debut this year includes Yunessio (‘Gopalapuranam’, ‘Certificate’), Siddharth Vijayan (‘Currency’), K K Jomon (‘D-17’), Joy Madhavan (‘Daveed’), M V Prabhath (‘Thrill’), Shyam Dharman (‘Jubilee’, ‘Veruthe Oru Bharya’), Arun Siddharth ( ‘Parayan Marannathu’) and Sreedev (‘Robo’).
Last year too, a few youngsters tried to make it big in music but only a few like Rahul Raj (‘Chotta Mumbai’) and Mejo Joseph (‘Notebook’) was competent enough to bag new films after their debut ventures.
Mejo Joseph made another hit this year with the recent release 'Cycle’, while Rahul Raj is churning out safer notes in his recent flicks like ‘Annan Thampi’ and ‘Malabar Wedding’.
