The shoot for 'Kutty Sharanku'- the first Malayalam movie produced by Reliance entertainments began at Alappuzha yesterday. The movie directed by world renowned filmmaker Shaji N Karun is scripted by P F Mathews.

The superstar joined the sets yesterday, after completing the final patchworks for the movie 'Parunthu' which is expect to be on theatres by next month. Apart from Mammootty who plays the title role, the movie also features Bengali actress Kamalina, Sreelankan actress Meenakumari and our own Padmapriya as the lead ladies.

The other interesting watch in the sets was the members from feuding factions of MACTA, assembling in unison, without differences of opinion for the movie.

Pattanam Rasheed and Aroma Mohan - Both the important leaders of the fighting groups attended the shoot which was held at Pallipuram Kayal at Alappuzha.

The movie will be completed in many short schedules at Kollam, Chethala, Ernakulam and Mangalapuram.
