 The Elections to the various unions affiliated to the Malayalam Cine Technicians Association (MACTA) Federation were postponed for a further date.The poll which was originally scheduled for September 6 and 7 were postponed following a direction by the Fort Kochi munsiff court who asked the office bearers to rectify the anomalies in the voters’ list.
This decision was announced yesterday evening by the ad hoc committee for MACTA Federation, which is headed by representatives of All India Film Employees’ Confederation.
Umashakar Babu, who heads the FEFSI also alleged that the faction with the former secretary, film director Vinayan had filed various cases aimed at disrupting the smooth conduct of the elections.
