Kerala state Chalachithra Academy (KSCA), the state owned enterprise for propagating good film practices and filmy literacy has called for nominations for the  State Film Awards in Malayalam.
  
The State awards will be bestowed upon the best from the feature films, documentary and children's films that were made and censored in 2008.
 
The filled in applications must reach the academy office at the capital city before the 4th of March. KSCA and the Dept of cultural affairs headed by minister M. A Baby, will announce the year’s awards by the last week of April.
