Shankar, the heartthrob of the Mollywood screens in the eighties, had been missing for quite some time, from the industry. Recently Keralites discovered him once again in a few teleserials, that didn't catch up with the heights in TRP ratings.
 
Anyhow, the actor is trying for a come back with a bang, both on screen and off screen. Last week we reported about him, doing a pivotal role in a new movie. But the latest reports are that he has already started calling the shorts for a new movie which has just started shooting at Guruvayoor.

Titled 'Keralotsavam 2009’, the movie will have young star Vinu Mohan as the hero. Vishnu Priya will be in the female lead of the movie which will also feature Salimkumar, Ganeshkumar, Shivaji Guravuyoor, Nedumudi Venu and Kalabhavan Mani in other prominent roles. Vinoo Narayanan will script this movie from a basic story written by Shankar. Produced in the banner of Grace Productions, the movie will be presented to theatres will a different title card for the actor - director, as ‘Shankar Panikkar’.
