Since the Onam days coincide with Ramzan days when the Muslim folk in the state will be having their days of fasting, the collections usually dip down by a forty percent. And so the popular movie makers don't take a risk to release their movies in these days of fasting.

Mammootty's Pazhassi Raja, Prithviraj-Naren team’s Robinhood and Mohanlal's Angel John will now get into theatres only by the final Ramzan week. And for this Onam, the Keralites will have to satisfy themselves with movies like ‘Oru Black And White Kudumbam’. Art house movies like ‘Kutty Shranku’ are also likely to get into theatres for this Onam.
