Actor and only son of late director Bharathan, Siddharth will turn an independent director with the new movie ‘Mithram’. Featuring Kalabhavan Mani and Rithu fame Asif Ali, ‘Mithram’ will also present a new heroine, Shruthy Menon. The movie will be scripted by Santhosh Echikkanam based on a story by the young debut director. ‘Mithram’ will be presented by David Kachapaally in the banner of Y format cinemas. Also in the cast lines are Innocent, Bijukuttan, Salimkumar, Augustine, Sreejithravi, Lena, Arunghosh, K P A C Lalitha and Laya. The movie is expected to kick of its shoot by the second week of October.
 
Siddharth who debuted as an actor through the hit movie ‘Nammal’, had been the assistant director to Priyadarshan in his last six movies.
