It was the 60th birthday parade of Territorial Army at Delhi Cant Army Parade Ground. Mollywood Super star Mohanlal and his wife Suchitra who flied down to the capital in the morning was sitting in his colonel uniform watching the parades of the day. He was sharing the gallery with Defence Minister A K Antony, Army Chief Deepak Kapoor and other senior officers to witness the parade of the Army, of which he is also a part. ''It is one of the best moments in my life - to become a part of this great institution called Indian Army, which has been serving the nation altruistically. Even in cinema, I feel very happy and honored whenever I get a chance to be in an army uniform.'' said the versatile actor who with his noble gesture had made the Malayalee community all over proud.

After the parade Mohanlal was instantly ready, now in the attires of a major, to act in the lead of the advertisement short film, made for the promotion of Territorial Army. The acting king who is also the ambassador of the Territorial Army naturally shone on this feat which he had been doing excellently for year, before the camera. Later the actor said ''The army is in need for more and more youth, who have that spirit of nationalism, to serve the country in times of peril. And I am happy to be an ambassador, who can attract more and more people to this great institution''.
