Three Malayalam films are in the making which carry almost similar names. ‘Talkies’, ‘Valluvanadan Talkies’ and ‘Menaka Talkies’. While the former is the title of the movie to be directed by Shajoon Karyal, featuring Superstar Mohanlal, ‘Valluvanadan Talkies’ is scripted by N M Navaz and will be directed by Sundar Das. ‘Meanaka Talkies’ is the title of the second movie directed by actor turned director Mahesh. Rajan Kiriyath is the scriptwriter of this movie which features Jayaram as the hero.

Though the three titles have much in similar, none of the directors are planning for the change of title. Instead they seems to have a thought that the familiarity of names will favour their films at the Box Office. As per the latest films, Jayaram's ‘Menaka Talkies’ will be the first movie to reach the theatres. Let us and wait and see whether this similarity in names will help any of these movies to emerge a winner at the Box Office.
