Actress Shwetha Menon was injured yesterday while shooting for the film 'Penpattanam' at Kozhikode. She was injured on her right arm, hacked accidentally in a scene. Following this injury which resulted in a nerve being cut off, the actress has undergone a minor surgery and was asked to go for rest for at least a full week.

'Penpattanam' directed by V M Vinu, is based on a base story by Ranjith, scripted by T A Razaq. The movie also features Vishnupriya, Revathy and KPAC Lalitha in the key roles.
