The Kerala High Court stayed the 57th National Film Award for Malayalam children's film 'Keshu' directed by veteran director Sivan. A bench headed by Justice Antony Dominic stayed the award for the movie, which ran into controversies after it was selected by the National Award Jury.

The court was allowing a petition by Majid Gulistan whose movie 'Chithrakuzhal' was rejected by the regional jury composed of Sivan's son Sanjeev. 'Keshu' is said to be a remake of a state award winning film 'Pularvettam'  which was directed by Harikumar who had been a member of the year's National Jury.

Gulistan earlier alleged that his film was intentionally blocked by Sanjeev so that his father's film could go to the national jury.

'Truth has triumphed', said Gulistan after getting the verdict in his favour.
