Superstar Mohanlal and Kavya Madhavan bagged the year's  TTK Prestige-Vanitha Awards , one of the most popular Gallup Poll awards of Kerala. While Mohanlal was named for his meticulous performance in the movie 'Pranayam' by Blessy, Kavya Madhavan was named best actress for her performance in 'Gaddhama' which has earlier fetched the State awards for the actress.Renjith's 'Indian Rupee' was named the best film while Lal and Shwetha Menon will receive the awards for best star couple on screen.Aashiq Abu was named the best director for his 'Salt N Pepper', while Renjith was named the best script writer for his 'Indian rupee.Veteran star Sheela was named for life time achievement award.

Anoop Menon and Remya Nambeeshan were named the best supporting stars while Vijayaraghavan got the award for the best villain(Vencile Vyapari). Babauraj was for the first time named as the best comedy actor.

While Vijay Yesudas was named the best playback singer for his 'Ee Puzhayam' from Indian rupee, Manjari will receive the award for her rendition of 'Chimmi Chimmi' from 'Urumi'.O N V Kurup was named the best lyricist while Bijibal will receive the award for the best music director.Unni mukundan and Karthika were selected as the best promising faces of the year .

The awards were selected after counting the two lakh Gallup poll nominations sent via Manorama online, Vanitha and Manorama newspaper and polling booths. The awards will be given away shortly in a colourful function attended by industry stalwarts.
