Ilayathalapathy Vijay's Pongal offering, 'Nanban' celebrates 100 days today (April 20). The film that's a faithful remake of Bollywood blockbuster '3 Idiots' was well accepted by audience and critics and has raked in good moolah to the makers.

The team will celebrate their success tomorrow (April 21), reportedly in the Mutha Venkatasubba Rao Concert Hall in a grand scale.

It may be mentioned, the film was given an entertainment tax waiver by the state government thus resulting in a 30 per cent reduction in tax as well. Thus the collections for the film have been great as per trade sources.

'Nanban' features Vijay, Jiiva, Srikanth, Ileana and Sathyaraj in lead roles with Sathyan providing comic relief and SJ Suriya in a cameo appearance. It was the first ever remake helmed by Shankar.
