Director Lingusamy has requested the government to provide tax exemption to his production venture 'Vazhakku Enn 18 / 9', which has won huge appreciation from the media, critics, industry people and audience.

"Tax exemption has not been given to Vazhakku Enn 18 / 9 since the film has been cleared by the Censor Board with U/A certificate. It is a very good movie and everyone is appreciating it. Hence I request the government to provide tax relief," he said.

Recalling his friendship with director Balaji Shakthivel, Lingusamy said, "I know him for more than 18 years. When I came to Chennai with cinema dreams, Balaji Shakthivel was the first person whom I met. It was he who introduced world cinema to me."

He added: "As a producer, Vazhakku Enn 18/9 has given me immense satisfaction. I thank everyone associated with the film for their contribution. I am planning to produce more such meaningful movies in the future."
