Balakrishna, like Gabbar Singh, doesn't follow trend.  He sets a trend himself.  Speaking at the audio release function of UKUP, he made this statement in the context of talking about the distinct character he has played in the film.  "I feel so lucky to have played this character.  This character is radically different from what my fans expect from me.  This film is going to create a trend for sure.  We have set many trends in the past.  Others only follow those trends," he said.

He did not talk about the inspiration for playing the role, though Dasari later revealed that there was a reason behind Balayya's accepting it.  "Nanna garu had experimented a lot in his long career.  He succeeded in this path.  I am happy that I have got an opportunity to experiment now," Balayya said.

Speaking after him, Mohan Babu said that he was jealous of his character in the movie.  Balayya is playing Narasimha Naidu in the movie.  The movie would not have acquired this majesty without him, Manchu Manoj said.  "We need a ruler (palakudu) like him.  I will always be with him," the young actor said.
