Talks are that filmmaker Tigmanshu Dhulia was keen to have Sonakshi for his forthcoming mafia film 'Bullet Raja', starring Saif Ali Khan in lead. 'Bullet Raja', which revolves around mafia in Uttar Pradesh, has Saif featuring as a rustic gangster.

While one would have expected to see Sonaskhi playing a similar UP character, surprising in this film the actress will be donning role of a Bengali belle.

According to sources, Sonakshi is very glad that Dhulia has signed her for 'Bullet Raja' since she likes his works.

Besides, she is excitedly looking forward to play a Bengali character which is quite different from the roles she played in her earlier films namely 'Dabangg' and 'Rowdy Rathore'.

The project is expected to start its shooting coming November as Sonakshi is said to have left for Muscat for the shooting of  Milan Luthria's 'Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2' along with Akshay Kumar.
