With Vijay's popularity getting bigger in Kerala each passing day, the actor is apparently planning to impress his fans there in more than one way.

If sources are to be believed, one of the forthcoming films of the 'Ilayathalapathy' will feature top Malayalam star Mohanlal in a key role.

"When Vijay met Mohanlal recently and expressed his wish to work with him, the Mollywood superstar did not have any second thought and immediately gave his nod," sources said.

Vijay's Deepavali release 'Thuppakki' opened big in Kerala last week, almost on par with a much awaited direct Malayalam movie.
