Balram turns director

Balram Mattanur, the scriptwriter of celebrated films like Kaliyattam and Karmayaogi will shortly turn an independent director. His first film titled 'Ramanam' will be based on the life and works of famous poet Changampuzha. The movie will tell his life through the eyes of eleven heroines who has bestowed very different attitudes to the most famous romantic poet of Kerala.

The movie will be produced by a cooperative movement named 'Samastha Malayalaee Chalachithra Parishad' which will spend around 1.8 cores for the movie. 'Ramanam', which will be around 120 minutes, will have all its songs based on the poems by Changampuzha.
 
Balram's recent movie ' Pithavinum Puthranaum Parishudhatmavinum' is still waiting in the cans sue to its controversial themes.
