Shooting in the middle east has become more tough for Mollywood films, as experienced by director Sanjeev Sivan who has been waiting for the permissions for his new movie 'Arabian Safari'.A women centric travel movie, 'Arabian Safari' features Mallika and Lekshmy Rai in the lead roles and will tell a tale about their travels through the dense deserts. But it is learned that post Kamal's "Gaddhama' which showed Arabs in bad light, often physically attacking their Indian domestic workers, Malayalam films are getting into difficulties to earn the permissions to shoot. Now a days the makers need to give the scripts in advance and is even asked to changes the scripts if the authorities feels so. Moreover the police surveillance is also mandatory for shooting, now a days.
Sanjeev Sivan has been planning to start the shoot for the movie by February but since it has got into plenty of delays in getting the permissions, the movie will get into sets only by May. The makers are even thinking to shoot the movie in India, if the permissions are delayed indefinitely.
