After almost a decade,, Mollywood has found a handful of commercially saleable young heroes. And naturally full length love stories are also returning to Malayalam. The trend which started in 'Thatathin Marayathu' has found new takers in many upcoming movies. 'Pattom Pole' is the latest love story on theatres which is not faring badly, while Jayaraaj's 'Camel Safari' failed to find takers.
There are almost half a dozen movies with love tales of the lead as its basic premise. Megastar Mammootty is busy working with a love story in Vaikkom Muhammed Basheer's 'BalayakalaSakhy' made in movie format by Pramod Payyanur. Isha Talwar is the lead lady in this movie. Meanwhile his son Dulqar Salman is in the final touches of 'Salala Mobiles', the one which feature Nazriya Nazim as his heroine.
Sathyan Anthikkad is back with a love tale in 'Oru Indian Pranayakadha' with Fahad and Amala Paul and Manu Kannanthanam's 'Love and Love' only' carry the themes in its titles. Mollywood directors feel it as a big relief to create fresher love stories to suit the new generation heroes, than create new characters for their older heroes.
